The route begins at the ocean, enters Table Mountain National Park and takes you on a journey where you get unbelievable views of Lions Head, Table Mountain, Signal Hill, the city bowl, Camps Bay and Cifton.

The Lion Trail features stories of the city’s history, geology, flora, fauna, oceans, legends, food and wine. Led by a knowledgeable local guide, the route was specifically chosen for its spectacular views and sense of adventure – all adding up to Cape Town’s most enjoyable day out!
The route follows a well-maintained path that is easily accessible.
The trail is a gentle meander and is considered an easy to moderate walk.

Backpack, Jacket/Warm Top, Water/Juice (0.5 litres minimum), snacks, if you wish, any personal medication – Compulsory, camera/phone, comfortable long pants recommended in winter or on windy days in summer, a waterproof jacket may be compulsory if rain is predicted, beanie/buff or scarf recommended if cold temperatures are predicted.
